February 2023 – As part of our long-term commitment to supporting medical device manufacturing, STERIS previously announced plans to construct a new X-ray radiation processing facility in Germany. We are pleased to confirm the location of the facility will be in Hochstadt, Germany.
The expansion of radiation processing and testing services in Germany furthers our commitment of ensuring patient safety through a technology-neutral service offering that includes sterilization and laboratory testing options, now and well into the future. In addition to the new facility in Hochstadt, we support medical device manufacturing in Germany through our existing electron beam services in Bitterfeld, gamma processing in Allershausen, and electron beam, gamma irradiation, and testing services in Radeberg.
Increased demand in medical device manufacturing has accelerated our plans for global expansion. The addition of radiation processing and testing services throughout our global network allows us to support Customers with both routine services and processing redundancy.
